LEGS is working with the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific to enable countries at risk of volcanic eruptions to be better prepared in mitigating the effects of eruptions on livestock. Under this agreement, LEGS is seeking a consultant to produce a relevant, practical, volcano context evidence-based document to guide better emergency preparedness, response and recovery. This Technical Brief is to be 15 pages maximum, excluding annexes.
At least 15 years of experience in livestock and emergency response is required, with particular understanding of livestock-based livelihoods including knowledge of LEGS, experience of working in volcanic regions, and emergency response to volcanic eruptions.
