LEGS draws on evidence-based good practice from around the world. The LEGS Project tracks and uses evaluations, reviews and impact assessments of livestock and livestock-related projects as part of this evidence base. Click here to link to the LEGS Impact Database.
Measuring livelihoods impacts
LEGS also aims to work with implementing agencies and donors to help measure impact, especially livelihoods impacts. There are two main ways this can happen:
- LEGS support to impact assessment – if you have implemented a project using LEGS and would like assistance with the design of an impact assessment, please contact the LEGS Coordinator. We have some capacity to work with partners to design impact assessments, or provide training and mentoring support in impact assessment.
- Submit a case study– if you have conducted a review, evaluation or impact assessment: please send a copy of the report to the LEGS Coordinator (Coordinator@livestock-emergency.net) OR complete the LEGS Case Study template
LEGS is interested to learn about any experiences you may have had with using LEGS. We are especially interested to understand the livelihoods impact of your project in terms of the three main livelihoods objectives of LEGS (LEGS Handbook page 9).
